Marc Simon, a member of the PGA Show team since 1999, is currently the Event Vice President, overseeing the PGA Show, held annually in Orlando in January, and the PGA Buying Summit, held in Frisco, TX (at the PGA of America HQ) in August.

Simon has been involved in the golf industry nearly his entire life. As a player, Simon progressed from top regional amateur to standout player on the Hamilton College golf team, earning Academic All-America Honors and ultimately election to the Town of Kirkland (NY) Sports Hall of Fame in 2008.

His golf industry career started out in the pro shop at Skenandoa Golf Course in Clinton, N.Y., he was Sports Information Director at Hamilton for several years, then landed a job in events at George Little Management before progressing to a successful career with Reed Exhibitions on the PGA Golf Shows – beginning in sales and eventually becoming Sales Manager, National Accounts Manager, and Sales Director. Promoted to Group Sales Director in 2010, Simon led the successful effort to bring back all major equipment manufacturers to the Show floor in 2011 and became the Shows’ Event Director in 2014. 

Simon has been Awarded Rx’s “People’s Choice” Awards in 2005, 2010, 2011 and 2015, was named Rx Group Sales Director of the Year in 2011 and also was recognized as a 2011 honoree of the Sporting Goods Business 40 Under 40 Award. Simon was recently honored with Rx’s “Leader of the Year” Award in both 2021 and 2023. The PGA Show has twice been awarded the prestigious Gold 100 “Greatest Show” designation by Trade Show Executive Magazine under Simon’s leadership.
