Manolita is an innovative and an award-winning association and trade show executive. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE). She previously served in senior and executive level positions at the University of California-Davis, Western Veterinary Conference (WVC), National Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges (NCJFC), and currently as Vice President of Exhibit Sales and Operations and Chief Co-Innovator of VMX Virtual at the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC).
Manolita brings over twenty years of experience, both in the veterinary industry and in the convention and trade show industry. She is a gifted leader who excels at developing high-performing teams and creating efficiencies. She has been successful in driving growth and developing new opportunities by utilizing data, technology, and strong focus on customer satisfaction and business relationships throughout her career. She has received numerous industry awards during her career, including Show Manager of the Year from TSNN, Fastest 50 and TSE Gold 100 awards from Trade Show Executive.
Manolita is best known for her work and achievements while at the WVC, where she helped transformed the association into one of the largest and highly sought-after continuing education providers in the world. She served in various key roles until her last position as the Chief Operations Officer. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Association. She led and mentored high performing teams. During her 17-year tenure, she implemented technologies to support programs and processes. She helped transitioned WVC from a 5,000-attendee conference to a nearly 15,000-attendee conference. She developed and managed a $10M+ annual operating budget. She worked closely with the CEO and Board of Directors and was intimately involved in the development and implementation of the association’s strategic goals. She was instrumental and one of the key players during the development and construction of the Oquendo Center – WVC’s state-of-the-art, 70,000 SF medical training facility based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As part of Manolita’s vision and guidance, NAVC, in collaboration with Dr. Manny Dominguez, Founder and CEO of Simulocity, LLC, launched VMX Virtual in January of 2020. VMX Virtual is a highly sophisticated, interactive, and immersive Expo Hall Platform.
Manolita is active in various association and trade show organizations. She is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE), and American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). She volunteers and serves on various committees. She is a 2010 Krakoff Leadership Institute (KLI) alumna.
